Junior Project Estimator — Monterey, CA

This entry-level Project Estimator role in Monterey combines blueprint takeoffs, proposal preparation and project support. You will work with Foremen and Project Managers while building productive relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. The role reports to the President, Vice President and Director of Operations.

What You'll Do

• Prepare project estimates, complete blueprint takeoffs, submit proposals and follow up through the company's sales process.
• Coordinate with project Foremen and Project Managers to support successful delivery.
• Work with suppliers and subcontractors on terms and prices.
• Maintain clear communication across departments and support customer service, company procedures and a safe workplace.
• Participate in management meetings and complete other assigned project duties.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of building and framing layout; ability to read blueprints and prepare equipment and material takeoffs.
• One to two years of practical project administration experience.
• Strong organization, prioritization, leadership and verbal and written communication skills.
• Current California driver's license, insurability and ability to travel within the Monterey Peninsula.
• Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including walking, climbing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
