S. R. Freeman is looking for motivated carpenters with residential construction experience. This full-time role offers year-round work and opportunities to develop your skills alongside people who value craftsmanship, safety and accountability. Depending on your experience, you may contribute as a skilled carpenter, journeyman or working foreman.

What You'll Do

• Cut and install framing materials for custom residential floor, wall and roof systems.
• Build and sheet interior and exterior walls; assist with foundations, concrete forms, stairs, door openings and window framing.
• Follow the Carpenter Foreman's work assignments and maintain professional communication with the crew.
• Handle materials, prepare and clean the jobsite, and maintain hand tools and equipment.
• Use saws, levels and layout tools safely, following company procedures and OSHA regulations.

What You Bring

• 1–4 years of residential construction experience, depending on position level; framing or finish carpentry experience preferred.
• Accurate tape-measure use, basic blueprint reading and the required basic carpentry tools.
• Valid California driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, handle lumber, and work safely on ladders, scaffolding and framing members above 20 feet.
• Good eyesight and depth perception, plus effective English communication for verbal and written instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Roof framing, stair layout, floor systems, concrete forms and door/window installation experience are valued.
